A system of filing must give:

• Quick retrieval and insertion of records
• Full visible reference for identification
• Colour coded to eliminate mis-filing
• Reference to year of activity for culling

There are of course, many efficient filing systems available… and each one has its own use… the important issue is which system or combination of systems is best suited to you.  

There is no rule anywhere that says that you can only have ONE SYSTEM.
